30 October update: application windows and residency

Takara Tomy’s updated qualifier page opens Tokyo Regular Class applications from 30 October to 23 November 2026, for the 20 December event. The Niigata Open Class application period ends on 1 November, ahead of its 23 November event.

Applications require residence in Japan. Malaysia and Taiwan readers must meet that condition as well as the age and event requirements; a visit to Japan alone does not meet the stated residency condition. Read the official application terms before making travel plans.

Japan Championship set for 21 February 2027

Takara Tomy will hold the Beyblade X GP 2027 Japan Championship in Tokyo on 21 February 2027. Entry is reserved for champions from eligible 2026-season G1-or-higher events, including the class winners from GP 2026 Tokyo, earlier 2026 G1 events and the newly announced qualifiers.

The champion will receive the 2026-season national title, a special trophy and a complete Doran Strike 4-50FF Metal Coat gold, silver and bronze set. The official page does not yet publish a public venue or full match format.

Six G1 qualifiers run from November to January

What this means for Malaysia and Taiwan players

These announcements cover the Japanese championship pathway. They do not announce a Malaysia or Taiwan qualifier and do not change local tournament rules. The G1 entry page requires Japan residency and availability for the Tokyo final, with separate application periods for each event. Read the full eligibility and travel conditions before applying.
